Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Skydeck (“Skydeck,” “we,” or “us”). By signing in or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Skydeck.

Skydeck is a study platform that helps you prepare for cloud certification exams through study cards, practice questions, and a daily practice session with XP, streaks, and leaderboards. Study content is provided for educational purposes and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any certification vendor named on the platform (including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, or Google). All product and vendor names are the property of their respective owners.

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Skydeck.
• You sign in using a Google account, and you are responsible for keeping access to that account secure.
• You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account.

Skydeck is currently offered free of charge while in beta. The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Features may change, break, or be removed, and we may modify or discontinue all or part of the service at any time without liability.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service, other accounts, or our systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service.
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute study content except as expressly permitted.
• Misuse or attempt to manipulate XP, streaks, or leaderboard standings.

The service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Skydeck and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the service for your personal, non-commercial study.

You retain ownership of any information you submit to the service. By submitting it, you grant us the rights needed to operate the service, such as storing and displaying your progress and profile details.

Skydeck is a study aid. We do not guarantee that using the service will result in passing any certification exam. The service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skydeck and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
